Melissa (メリッサ Merissa) is a doll created by Zeus to look after Yui while at the school. He lives in a dollhouse in Yui's dorm room.

He is a yellow and white rag doll with stitches around his mouth, neck, and limbs. His right eye is pink and smaller while his left eye is green and bigger. He has three marks in the middle of his forehead. His head is also tied like a sack with a green ribbon with a pink button.

In his human form, his long blonde hair is tied in a ponytail by the same green ribbon he had as a doll. He wears a greek inspired toga, in the same colour scheme as his doll form, with a red button in the right shoulder. The clover pattern on his head is replicated as a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Melissa is a funny and relaxing doll to be around. He has a personality and behavior of a middle aged man. Melissa acts serious when there is a need to. He loves to talk about matters of love and enjoys drinking.

Melissa is a doll Zeus fashioned from clay for Yui to protect and guide her through the whole school year.

Melissa refers to himself as Yui's senior, who is in charge of protecting and advising her while she is at the school. He is very considerate, and serves as Yui's confidante and "shoulder to cry on." Yui herself, likes Melissa, and sees him as a good friend, despite his doll-like appearance. However, he has a habit of mispronouncing Yui's last name, calling her 'Kutanagi' instead of 'Kusanagi.'

  • He hates being called a doll, and prefers people to refer to him as a human.
  • He dislikes honey.
  • His name means 'bee' in Greek.
